Baha'u'llah Means The 'Glory of God'
In 1936, Baha'u'llah's grandson said ... "A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole
planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity."- statement by Shoghi Effendi, Guardian of the Baha'i Faith, March 11, 1936 The
World Order of Baha'u'llah, page 201-202.
As the founder of the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah said even more extraordinary things about you and me
and our future. For example ...
Man is the supreme Talisman. Lack of a proper education hath, however, deprived him of that which he doth inherently possess.
Through aword proceeding out of the mouth of God he was called into being; by one word more he was guided to recognize the
Source of his education; by yet another word his station and destiny were safeguarded. The great Being saith: Regard man as
a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit
therefrom....The one true God, exalted be His glory, hath wished nothing for Himself. The allegiance of mankind profiteth
Him not, neither doth its perversity harm Him. The Bird of the Realm of Utterance voiceth continually this call: "All things
have I willed for thee, and thee, too, for thine own sake." - Baha'u'llah, from Gleanings from The Writings of Baha'u'llah.
Baha'is believe that Baha'u'llah brought a message from God - a message that can, and will, change
the world. Maybe that sounds pretty unlikely but I think you'll find most Baha'is are reasonable people. For example: I spent
a couple of hours talking with a Russian medical doctor at the Russia/China border in 1993. He was a little condescending
about my spiritual beliefs until I told him the head of the philosophy department at the Siberian university his brother was
attending was a Baha'i. He said, "Impossible!" I said to him,and I say to you, "Check it out!".
